Apple Pie Jun: The Seasonal Sip That Tastes Like Fall

Fall has a flavor, and this year it’s Apple Pie.

Our newest seasonal jun is a warm, spiced hug in a glass—fresh-pressed apples woven with a warming blend of falls spices. It’s the taste of grandma’s pie crust cooling on the windowsill, but lighter, fizzier, and alive with probiotics.

The Origin Story (Yes, It Started with Adam’s Apple)

Back in 2016, co-founder Adam was driving home with the very first test batch of this flavor in a growler on the passenger seat. One cautious sip at a red light turned into a full-on “wait, did I just make this?” moment.

“I knew we were crafting delicious beverages, but this one hit different. It was strangely satisfying to be surprised by something you made yourself.”

The working name? Adam’s Apple—pure inside-joke energy. But once the team tasted it, the rename was unanimous: Apple Pie. Because that’s exactly what it is.

Perfect Timing for the Holidays

ree

Starting Monday, November 10, you’ll find Apple Pie flowing from draft lines and swirled into frosty slushies at the Revel taproom.

  • On tap: Crisp, effervescent, and ready to pour.

  • As a slushy: Frozen jun magic—think spiced apple sorbet with a probiotic twist.

  • As a float: Add a scoop of ice-cream to seriously take it to the next level

Mix It Up: The Apple Pie Mule

Adam recently teamed up with Messermeister for a fall cocktail video that’s already racking up saves. His weapon of choice? Apple Pie jun, of course.

Here’s the recipe that’s about to become your holiday go-to:

Apple Pie Mule

A jun-twist on the Moscow Mule—cozy, spicy, and perfectly balanced.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz chilled Apple Pie jun

  • 1.5 oz bourbon

  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice

  • 0.5 oz cinnamon simple syrup*

  • 2 oz ginger beer

  • Garnish: fanned apple slice, cinnamon stick, pinch of ground cinnamon

* Cinnamon syrup: Simmer 1 cup water + 1 cup sugar + 3 cinnamon sticks for 10 min. Cool, strain, store in fridge up to 2 weeks.

Instructions

  1. Fill a copper mug (or rocks glass) with ice.

  2. Add bourbon, lime juice, and cinnamon syrup. Stir gently.

  3. Pour in the Apple Pie jun, then top with ginger beer for that signature foamy crown.

  4. Garnish with an apple fan, cinnamon stick, and a dusting of cinnamon.

Non-alcoholic version: Skip the bourbon, double the jun to 8 oz, and splash in 1 oz apple cider. Same cozy vibes, zero proof.
